Blackwater by Jeremy Scahill
Scahill explores the impact of military contractors and their connection to the Religious Right. The impact may be so great that it will take a concerted effort over several administrations to extricate America from the grip of military contractors but if we plead ignorance we only have ourselves to blame. If you care about America and its military this book is required reading.
