Freefall

Freefall by Joseph E. Stiglitz

Stiglitz, the Columbia University economics professor and Nobel Prize winning economist, sets out to explain the economic collapse that commenced at the end of the George W. Bush administration and continues today.  He does so in terms that anyone with a decent education can understand.  This work is not for his peers, it is for the American public.  The work is non-partisan and critiques the efforts of both Democrats and Republicans while recognizing the unfortunate difference between best case scenarios and political practicalities.

Don’t just accept my praise for Stiglitz, this is how fellow Ivy league economics professor and Nobel Prize winner, Paul Krugman, describes him, “An insanely great economist”.
